IQF Peach Halves

Yellow clingstone peaches, grown for processing. Clingstone varieties hold together where freestone types fall apart, which is why the industry uses them and why we plant them: the halves come out of the tunnel intact and stay intact through a second heat treatment.

Picked ripe, in the plant the same day, washed, sized, destoned and halved before freezing. The cut face stays firm and the colour stays yellow rather than browning.

Used in compotes, canning, bakery and desserts. Season July to September, which is a longer window than apricot and gives more room to plan deliveries.
